When it comes to our ability to collect everyday-but-essential children’s products and distribute them to thousands of needy children in the Philadelphia area, the Cradles to Crayons community plays a vital role.
Yes, some of our donations arrive in bulk from companies that have extra inventory, or simply want to help out in a significant way. But the majority of our products are “recycled”—gently-used goods that are put back into circulation by their original owners. These goods come to us because corporations, schools, faith-based organizations, families, and individuals care enough to host drives or fundraisers, and come together to share their time and treasures.
Although C2C is deeply rooted in your neighborhood, the broader C2C community extends well beyond any individual town’s boundaries. It comprises a broad network of leaders who are already at work in schools, churches, temples and businesses. These leaders educate and encourage others to become involved in C2C and its mission. It also comprises everyday people who want to make a difference.
